The WA-5-TI is a unit that converts TS into TS over IP (TSoIP).
During conversion, it compresses NULL packets and then restores them on the receiving side, which helps reduce the transmission bit rate.
It also supports one-to-many (1-to-N) transmission and reception via multicast. In addition, it uses an original check code to help mitigate packet loss that may occur on the network.
It features a fanless design, and SPI input is also available as an option.
IP Transmission Solution
By combining the TS → TS over IP conversion unit WA-5-TI with the TS over IP → TS conversion unit WA-5-IT, you can enable IP-based transmission of TS signals.
For Networks with Unstable Bandwidth
By installing a buffer PC (HDD-less) after the WA-5-TI and before the WA-5-IT, you can utilize the WA-5 series to transmit stably even over networks with unstable bandwidth.
When Transmitting TS Data from Multiple Locations and Switching on the Receiving Side

(※1) The WA-5-TI has no ASI OUT connector. The rear panel carries the same silkscreen as the WA-5-IT, but on the WA-5-TI the connector used is ASI IN. The SPI connector is an option.
(※2) With the serial communication option (license), the front COM port can carry RS-232C serial communication over the LAN in both directions. The connection to the WA-5-IT uses TCP/IP. Without the option, the COM port is used to configure the WA-5-TI.
