A descrambler compatible with both ARIB and JCTEA conditional access standards
Broadcast content is scrambled (encrypted) to protect copyright.
This unit supports the following two types of descrambling:
- B-CAS System
Supports the conditional access system “B-CAS” used in terrestrial digital broadcasts, BS broadcasts (excluding 4K / 8K and some services), and CS broadcasts (excluding 4K / 8K and some services). - C-CAS System
Supports the conditional access system “C-CAS” used in cable television.
The card required for descrambling must be provided by the customer.
- Only operator B-CAS cards or limited-purpose B-CAS cards are supported. Cards included with STBs or televisions cannot be used for descrambling.
- One-Seg broadcasts are not scrambled.
- A single unit can handle only one signal and one system at a time (either B-CAS or C-CAS).
- If multiple services (channels) within a single signal share the same key information, a single unit can descramble multiple services simultaneously. If different services use different key information, only one key will be used for descrambling. For example, if a signal contains Service 1 (Key A), Service 2 (Key B), and Service 3 (Key C), only the one selected service can be descrambled.
Our units are standard rack size, allowing them to be connected with other units from our lineup for rack mounting (using the dedicated bracket U-2).
Single-unit rack mounting is also supported (using the dedicated bracket U-1).
