Rather than asking “Is the signal being transmitted correctly?”, the real question is: “Is the broadcast actually reaching viewers as intended?”
STB Watcher is a receiver-side monitoring system that evaluates broadcast quality from the viewer’s perspective.
The STB Monitoring Recorder automatically controls the STB to perform monitoring and records video automatically when an error occurs. Because monitoring is conducted in the same environment as the viewer, it not only detects issues but also helps reproduce and analyze them.
In addition, multiple channels can be displayed simultaneously in a multi-view layout on a single screen, enabling efficient monitoring of several channels at once. No dedicated application installation is required—operations can begin simply by accessing the system through a web browser (Google Chrome).
In response to strong customer demand, the renewed STB Watcher is now available again.
Features
■ Automatic sequential monitoring of up to 98 channels
Using the included dedicated remote controller, the STB is automatically operated to monitor channels sequentially.
STB Watcher supports 50 channels as standard, and up to 98 channels with optional expansion.
When an error is detected, notifications can be sent via email or SNMP Trap.
■ Broadcast issue detection from the viewer’s perspective
By performing reception monitoring using the same STB that viewers actually use, broadcast issues can be detected and verified from the viewer’s point of view.
In addition, since multiple clients can access the system simultaneously, it can be utilized for various purposes such as monitoring operations, customer support, and internal verification.
