Challenges Before Implementation
Q. What challenges or problems were you facing before implementing our service?
We were operating a workflow to distribute video to multiple destinations via SRT communication (AWS MediaConnect).
In doing so, there was a need for remote team members to visually verify video feeds and monitor multiple streams, and an environment capable of viewing video with low latency was required.
Reasons for Selection
Q. With other options available, why did you choose our service?
Our staff received a demonstration at a trade show, and the ability to simultaneously check multiple streams as well as the ease of deployment on EC2 in an AWS environment matched our requirements — which led us to choose MediaHarbor.
We also highly value the prompt and attentive support provided for questions and requests, tailored to our specific operational needs.
Adoption Process
Q. What steps did you take during implementation? Was there anything that left a strong impression?
During the evaluation phase, you quickly released updated versions in response to our improvement requests.
This gave us the confidence to proceed with full production deployment.
Specific Results
Q. What specific results or improvements have you seen since implementation?
We utilized MediaHarbor for monitoring SRT communication video within our AWS environment. On the day of the operation, we were able to confirm that video distribution was proceeding without issues at each relay point.
The multi-view screen featured an intuitive UI that allowed us to operate it smoothly.
Additionally, since the system is designed for cloud server deployment, we were able to check video feeds not only from on-site but also from remote environments, without requiring any physical hardware.
Customer Voice
Q. Are there any aspects of the service you particularly like, or things you would like to see improved?
Being able to configure a multi-view layout made it very easy to monitor multiple video feeds at a glance.
On the other hand, during monitoring we could only check audio for one screen at a time, so we are hoping for the addition of a feature that allows switching between multiple audio sources.
We are also looking forward to the planned network monitoring feature — which will allow traffic and stream status to be monitored on a dashboard. We believe that combining this with video monitoring will lead to earlier detection of issues.
