Benefits for Our Customers
This system works in conjunction with our simultaneous recording system to support the creation of Blu-ray archive discs from your recorded assets.
By implementing this system, you can enjoy the following benefits.
- Simultaneous recording assets in TS format can be repurposed for secondary use, such as in-house viewing.
- Automates the entire process from TS data conversion to disc writing and label printing. Once a creation reservation is made, you simply wait — significantly reducing the time required to create archive discs.
- No complex settings like commercial authoring software are required — simply select from the program guide to create archive discs.
- Enables the creation of video files (.mp4) using the H.264 codec, which offers higher quality and better compression than DVD.
- In addition to video files, metadata XML generated from EPG information and other sources can also be included on the archive disc.
- Using the disc duplicator (manufactured by EPSON), up to 100 blank discs can be loaded at once, reducing the effort required for disc replacement.
- By using the recommended archival-grade BD-R discs, you can create discs capable of long-term storage of 50 years or more while minimizing write errors (data verification and error check functions included).

Based on the creation reservation, the “Conversion Client” downloads TS data from our simultaneous recording system and converts it into video files such as MP4.
Various metadata is then added, and archive discs are created by the “Duplicator.”
Reservation Input Screen Example
Disc creation reservations are made through a dedicated program guide application.
Programs designated for archiving are sequentially converted into video format according to the reservation schedule and placed in a queue for disc recording.
When the queued data reaches the specified capacity for a single disc, it is written to the disc all at once by the duplicator.
