Challenges
[ Antenna Relocation Study ]
- We needed to temporarily install a receiving antenna and observe long-term radio wave propagation variations (interference from structures, over-sea/mountain/seasonal propagation, etc.) from a medium-to-long-term perspective.
Solution
RF Monitoring Service PromBee
Results After Implementation
[ Highlights ]
- Easy comparative monitoring across multiple locations
We can now compare graphs side-by-side on a single screen to determine whether a variation is occurring at a single location or cascading across multiple sites. - Simple installation
No integration with existing monitoring equipment was required, making deployment quick and easy. The system supports monitoring via a web server linked to a terrestrial digital TV receiver unit and data acquisition over Wi-Fi, so no LAN wiring is needed. - Reliable data retention during communication outages
Even if the data connection is temporarily interrupted, the receiver unit stores up to several hours of data locally and syncs it to the web server when the connection resumes, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
Future Outlook
- We plan to utilize this service as a threshold-based monitoring system.
- We also look forward to future feature additions. As a cable television operator, we hope to see support for broadcast formats beyond terrestrial digital TV.
