DMB-2-ISDBT (DMB2) demodulates RF of ISDB-Tb terrestrial broadcasting and outputs Transport Stream (TS).
DMB2 also checks and monitor BER, C/N and TMCC of input RF signal, and can combine other monitoring system by ALARM contacts.
Collaborated with TV Globo, in Brazil, this 1U half size and signal status displaying unit enables automatic observation, real-time recording and remote playback.
– Demodulating DTTV broadcasting and outputting TS signal through ASI and SPI.
*Supported frequency: 177 to 214 MHz (VHF7 to 13ch), 473 to 786MHz (UHF14 to 66), 79 to 646MHz (CATV5 to 99 ch).
– The control of this unit, such as changing channel, and several information are available through LAN or keys and LCD on the front panel.

1. BER, C/N, and TMCC can be checked.

TTL Backup Solution
In Brazil, for example, is necessary a great amount of effort to transmit a broadcast because of its large area to cover, and in order to transmit to larger areas, you can use Satellite Links and TTL (Transmitter Transmitter Link).
In TTL, microwave is useful for transmitting BTS (Broadcast TS) from transmitter to transmitter, but it’s weak in bad weather conditions creating an unstable transmission during heavy rain. There is also the possibility of failure of the microwave system devices. DMB2 is useful as a backup solution, as it can output BTS directly.
This method has great advantages for its reliability, low cost and it requires no additional equipment, just an RF receiving antenna.
DMB2 generates an information layer and IIP, from the demodulated TMCC information, and adds the data to the demodulated TS, recreating the same high quality of the original BTS and a stable TTL.
One unit of DMB2 can monitor the SFN (Single Frequency Network) up to 20 channels at the same time. And with 1 PC you can monitor 20 sites, with DMB2 in each point.
